WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A SUMMER TEEN LANGUAGE VACATION?
_______________________________________________________

"Experience a new country, it's culture & people, make new international friends, enjoy afternoon & evening activities, weekend excursions and most importantly learn the local language.... speak it, read it, listen to native speakers every day!"

After arriving at your arrival airport, you will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation.

(NOTE: you will receive comprehensive pre-departure information before departure, containing all your arrival information & contact names / numbers including local transport information, etc ).

Your Sunday nights accommodation is included in the vacation.
Once you have arrived at your accommodation (host family, camp, residence etc) you can unpack and relax. Take the rest of the day/evening and get to know your new host family or international roommates.

Our language courses start on Mondays and you will start school no later than 08.45am (this may differ per a few locations). You will make your own way to school if staying with a host family or if you are in a residence walk with other students. If staying on campus, no need!

After arriving, a school member will introduce themselves and ask you to take a 'placement test', which will help us assess your language level and help our teachers place you in the correct class and level......don't worry the test will only last 10 - 15 minutes and have fun with it!

After the test is finished, you will enjoy an orientation designed to ease your transition into your new surroundings including important subjects, safety, rules and curfews. Staff will be introduced and we will discuss topics related to the school, daily course & activity schedule etc.

The beauty of a summer language vacation is the chance to really get to know everyone in your class and school, a great way to make friends with like minded teens from around the world!

After the orientation, you will be placed in your new class and your language course begins!

Your daily class schedule (may differ depending on your chosen course and location). Classes normally start at 9am through to 12:30pm if studying 4 lessons per day, if you are taking 6 lessons per day, you will break for lunch at 12.30pm, then resume classes in the afternoon until approximately 3pm ( this is only availble in some locations)

After classes are over for the first day, you will enjoy lunch together and some free time before your daily schedule of social & cultural activities.

Your summer language vacation allows you plenty of time, after classes to discover your new town or city, culture, visit sights, enjoy local traditions or sports, weekend excursions and the opportunity to practise your new language skills daily with your new international class mates!

Our language course is the main focus of the language vacation and is designed to be interesting and entertaining.

Our aim is for our teenagers to enjoy themselves whilst learning as much as possible in a short period of time. The methodology is centered on a communicative approach, utilizing diverse techniques to cover the fundamentals of language learning: grammar, speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, writing & intercultural competence.

Our Teenager language courses are taught by professional and experienced language teachers. On the first day of class (Monday), your language level will be assessed by taking a placement test (unless your a complete beginner) and based on the results you will be placed in an appropriate class for your level.

Example class schedule (this may differ):

09:00 - 12:00 Spanish
12:00 - 12:30 Break
12:30 - 2:00 Additional 2 lessons (for those taking Intensive)

Class sizes can range from 8 - 15 students per class (each location differs)

A language lesson normally represents 50 minutes and not a full hour.

All teenager language students receive a certificate at the end of the course upon request.
