Experience living and learning German in a Bavarian medieval castle in the heart of Munich.

Located in the south of the city about 10km from the center, on the banks of the River Isar, this summer program offers a unique experience to discover Munich.

Munich (München) is the capital city of Bavaria (Bayern) and the third largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg. Modern Munich is a financial and publishing hub and is known as a very livable city (In 2010, Monocle ranked Munich as the worlds most livable city.

Munich lies on the elevated plains of Upper Bavaria, about 50km north of the northern edge of the Alps, at an altitude of about 520 m. (more)

FAST FACTS

Your language vacation itinerary		You will book your own flights and arrive independently into Munich. You will be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation. Your accommodation is included on the Sunday, our language courses start on Monday and finish Friday, departure day Saturday. You will be studying and living with like-minded students of a similar age from around the world, under the supervision of our staff, with rules & curfews.
School location & map		A unique experience living & studying in a medieval castle (Burg Schwaneck) in the heart of Munich on the banks of the River Isar. Built in 1843 the castle has been carefully restored and our Teens will enjoy living and studying in the castle. Facilities include large classrooms, a knights´hall, lounges, internet cafe, bowling and games room & cafeteria. The castle is surrounded by a huge park on the banks of the River Isar, located about 15 minutes by train to the city center.
Course options & details		:: 4 GROUP LESSONS DAILY - 20 lessons per week We accept all levels A lessons usually lasts 45 minutes Course runs Monday through Friday starting at 9am Course materials are included You will take a placement test on the first Monday Maximum 12 students per group class
Lodging options		:: RESIDENCE Residence within castle 10 Rooms for 50 - 70 students Shared dorm rooms (4-5 teens) with shower Toliets are on each floor Includes 3 meals daily Classes take place in the residence
Supervision, curfews & student info		Supervision level: MEDIUM Teens can go out unaccompanied in groups of three students until 8pm. Group leaders have to be informed where they are going. Curfew: 11:00 pm (if not attending an organised event) Group leaders have the right to adjust the curfew according to external circumstances. Students on the immersion program: 40 students Staff ratio 1 counselor for every 15 students
After class activities		Enjoy a schedule of social & cultural activities during the week with other students and weekend excursions. : 2 daily activities in or near the castle: river rafting, swimming, minigolf, ralley, volleyball 1 half-day and 1 full-day excursion to Munich city center or places nearby
