FAST FACTS

Your language vacation itinerary		WEEK 1 in HEREDIA: You will arrive on Sunday, July 22nd at the San Jose Airport (SJO). You will be picked up by your host family and brought home, where you’ll be staying for 1 week, sharing breakfasts, dinners, and conversations with your new family. While in beautiful colonial Heredia, you will attend Spanish classes in the mornings and participate in a variety of fun activities in the afternoons and evenings. Latin dance classes, a city tour, dinner out on the town, an afternoon swimming and participating in recreational activities will give you a good taste of city life in Costa Rica. You'll hike to Los Chorros Waterfalls, introducing you to the natural beauty in and around the central valley, and visits to the Café Britt Coffee Plantation will offer a deeper understanding of important Costa Rican traditions, culture and products. After classes on Friday, you will head off to an exotic location in Costa Rica where you will spend the whole weekend (2 nights – 3 days) participating in an array of amazing activities like horseback riding, canopy tour (zip-lining), suspension bridges, visits to hot springs, waterfalls, and eco-hikes, where you may see white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, sloths, brightly multi-colored crabs, dragon iguanas and scarlet macaws. WEEK 2 in SAMARA: For the week starting July 29th, you will be in beautiful Sámara Beach staying in a hotel with a swimming pool and close access to the beach, where you will enjoy various activities such as: surfing, sea kayaking, beach-bonfires, biking, etc. You will be studying with like-minded students of a similar age from around the world, under the supervision of our staff, with rules & curfews.
Campus location		Located in a beautiful, prestigious private campus with spacious grounds surrounded by coffee plantations and open fields. The campus has excellent study facilities, many social areas, several soccer fields, large outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts & multipurpose sports area including volleyball & basketball courts.
Course options & details		:: 4 GROUP LESSONS DAILY - 20 lessons per week We accept all levels A lessons usually lasts 45 minutes Course runs Monday through Friday Classes will take place from 2:45 to 5:45 Course materials are included You will take a placement test on the first Monday Maximum 6 students per group class

Supervision, curfews & student info		Supervision level: HIGH Fully chaperoned program & teens escorted each day to/from school & tours Teens will NOT be allowed out alone without chaperone or host family member. Estimated students on the immersion: 20 - 50 students Staff ratio 1 counselor for every 12 students
After class activities		Enjoy a schedule of social & cultural activities during the week with other students and weekend excursions. Volunteer work once a week
